2022 Division Teacher of the Year
The SCPS Division Teacher of the Year, Fabiana Parker, is an ESOL Teacher at Thornburg Middle School. Ms. Parker goes above and beyond to support her students, parents, colleagues and administration. She uses her own relevant experiences to build relationships and is amazed to watch students from different parts of the world, with different backgrounds, beliefs and cultures, using English as a common language to communicate with one another.

SEF’s main initiatives promote innovation and creativity in Spotsylvania Classrooms. Our IDEA Grants enrich the learning experience of students by providing funding for hands-on, creative and active learning in a classroom or school setting. SEF also supports Spotsylvania educators by awarding funding for professional development activities through our SEED and Dr. Jerry Hill Leadership grants.
